We went to Las Vegas to go to the temple for the last time before we go home.

It is such a beautiful Temple

There was a fire at one of the water ponds we go to up on the range.  There was an old trailer that someone was trying to cut up for salvage and it sparked and caught all the dry grass on fire and burned up several acres.

This is the water tank the the helicopters used to dip in for water to fight the fire

the blackened area is what got burned in the lower foothills

Touring the Delamar Mines

If you look really close you'll see the coyote that was right outside our kitchen window.

Tony and Kelly were out tlooking for a spring one day and was digging with the backhoe where water was dripping and this is what they uncovered. A mine shaft.  It is full of water.  Tony and Bandit had to go check it out.

Mary and Jessica stopped by to see us on their way back to California after the family reunion in Logan.  It was sure good to see them.

The elders and I went touring the old Delamar mine and had to get some neat pictures.

There were a lot of old ruins from the 8000 reaidents that lived there at one time.

These are the openings of the mine

The elders had to check out another mine shaft.

Bandit had too cool off in a tub that had rainwater in it from the night before

The family comes to Hiko

Bonnie gave me this quilt kit for my birthday and it turned out so cute.  I love it.  Its kind of log cabin style

We went to Las Vegas to the DI store and found  these pretty matching chairs so we got them for the house,.

This is Bonnies snowman quilt.  It worked up so fast and easy

Gary and Kim came to see us and they hiked up to see the alien.

Carma stayed on the 4-wheeler.  The hike was a little too steep

This is the mine tailings at the Delamar Mine.

This is the ghost town of Delamar.  There are a lot of  old ruined building remains of the old town of 8000 in the glory days of the mine.

More of the remains of the old town.

The remains of the old town and homes are scattered all over the area.  It is near the old cemetery that we visited with the Elders.  Very interesting!
