The family comes to Hiko

Bonnie gave me this quilt kit for my birthday and it turned out so cute.  I love it.  Its kind of log cabin style

We went to Las Vegas to the DI store and found  these pretty matching chairs so we got them for the house,.

This is Bonnies snowman quilt.  It worked up so fast and easy

Gary and Kim came to see us and they hiked up to see the alien.

Carma stayed on the 4-wheeler.  The hike was a little too steep

Tony took Gary and Kim on the tractor around the field.  Kim had never been on a tractor before.

Tony took us all touring the Delamar.  MaryAnn and Gus, Kim, Tony, Carma and Sharon

This is the mine tailings at the Delamar Mine.

This is the ghost town of Delamar.  There are a lot of  old ruined building remains of the old town of 8000 in the glory days of the mine.

More of the remains of the old town.

The remains of the old town and homes are scattered all over the area.  It is near the old cemetery that we visited with the Elders.  Very interesting!

Going in new places

Bandit got out of the truck and wouldn't get back in so we let her run for a ways and it was pretty hot.  When we got to the first water troughs she jumped right in.  She wanted to stay in the truck after that.

As we was driving down the road this mother quail walked out in front of us.  She had a whole bunch of babies.  I counted 13.  They stayed right alongside us.  So cute!

I thought this was a cool rock on top of the hill

Then we ran across some mustangs.  They didn't really run from us.  They just kept an eye on us.

They started walking up the hill.  There was a stallion and about 3 mares and 2 colts.

Kelly's carrying big rocks and smaller ones too

Kelly brought me pictures and lettering for our house.  It looks so nice.

The Elders got up early one morning to help haul hay at our place .  John and Tony are hauling too.

Elder Broadwater only had shorts for service projects,  it was plenty hot but his legs got all scratchy.
Kelly was enjoying cutting Elder (Nick) Nadeau's hair.

Elder Broadwater (Frank) got his hair cut too.  He just gets a buzz.

These rocks are up by one of the springs on the ranch.  We're told it was an old Pony Express stations
